I'm glad you appreciated the engagement with Arendt's thinking. I think many of us share your feeling. This is why I think it's so important for us to draw on the humanities as a resource to not only bolster our spirits but also remind us that as much as we'd like to alter the outcome of major social conflicts and political choices we are justified in understanding at least some of our efforts as good-in-themselves.
